Meet Iraz – Our Marketing and Growth Associate

I’m Iraz and I’m equipal’s new Marketing and Growth Associate!
I have been working part-time as our intern since the start of this year and having now completed my university degree at LSE I will be joining equipal full-time. I will be focusing on boosting our Marketing and PR channels, as well as growing our media presence.
Growing up in the rural Southwest, my county is surprisingly home to 8 major manufacturing Headquarters like Dyson, P&M Aviation and GWR – my tiny home town was put on the map because of the railway work designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel! I have been surrounded by a rich history of expert engineering and manufacturing and have myself ended up within the industry!
My experience stems mostly in marketing within B2B businesses, having previously worked for a sports equipment company, where I supported email marketing and content creation for both Disrupt Sports and it’s sister branch, MIA Merchandise.
For the past year, I have been co-heading LSE’s news section on the university paper, covering pivotal domestic and global events affecting students as well as spearheading the ‘Golden Ticket’ marketing initiative to revamp interest and secure a wider readership and further funding chances for the following year.
Interning at equipal has been incredibly enriching. I’m learning more and more about the fintech and lending, as well as getting first-hand experience into what turns the cogs of asset finance. Over my first few months as intern, I have been actively involved in driving in new growth inititiatives and supporting on investor relations. The team have been incredible in supporting me and guiding me in the process.
My love for writing for the paper and coming from a research-based background has helped a great deal in my role and I’m pushing to apply my skills in a new dimension to further equipal’s goals.
I am excited to join full-time and I look forward to accelerating equipal’s growth – taking our connection with vendors, businesses and funders further!
